You said: Residents were unhappy with the grounds maintenance service and some were unclear about the standard of service they should expect.
We did: We visited the estate to assess the performance of the grounds maintenance contractor. Where services had fallen short of the specification, we brought to this to their attention. Any shortcomings were quickly addressed. We worked with contractors to develop an 'action plan' to improve the appearance of the estate. Where improvement works were outside of the contract, we sought quotes and consulted with customers to find out whether they would be happy to pay for them. We agreed to cover the cost of minor works such as gritting and snow clearance so that residents can benefit from a safe and attractive living environment.

You said: Residents were unhappy with the external appearance of their estate. Greenfield Court sits at the side of a large field and pupils have been witnessed cutting through, leading to problems with litter. There was also evidence of fly-tipping.
We did: We applied for funding through the 'Open Spaces' scheme to put in a new boundary fence. The funding was paramount in delivering this programme quickly, improving the estate's curb appeal and reducing anti-social behaviour. One resident commented that: 'The fence has made massive difference to the scheme with regards to anti-social-behaviour. Youths used to cut through and loiter on scheme smoking, smashing bottles and creating general nuisance. I can now let my young children play outside knowing they are safe. Thank you, Accent'.

You said: Residents would like to see more colour on their 'dull and bare' estate.
We did: We contacted each household to get their views on how the appearance of the estate. While residents were largely satisfied that their estate is maintained as it should be, we also heard feedback that it could benefit from some additional colour. We arranged for the grounds maintenance contractor to plant flowers in the communal beds to brighten up the area.
