The course develops practical skills in areas such as digital productivity, cybersecurity, data management, communication technologies, and problem-solving using industry-standard software.

In an increasingly digital world, cyber security is fast becoming a main concern for most organisations. Learn how to investigate website design and plan, design and create websites in response to a client brief.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Age 19 on day 1 of the course.
2. Good standard of Maths, English & IT.
3. Eligible to live & work in the UK.
4. Must have access to either a Laptop/PC with Microphone + Webcam.
5. Must have ID either Passport, Driving License, Provisional, Birth Certificate.
6. If non-UK national - need ID and Share Code (organisers can support with this)

Event: CSCS course starting in September 2026.
This course is designed to help candidates gain the knowledge and skills needed to work in the construction sector. It covers an Introduction to the Industry, Construction Practices, Health and Safety and Manual Handling.
Open day date: Thursday, 17th September at 11am.
Venue: Methodist hall/Central Buildings, Oldham St, Manchester M1 1JQ.
Candidates need to bring ID, either a Passport or Birth certificate or Driver's licence/provisional to the open day. The Open day will last for 2 hours at the most.
The course will start w/c 21st September 2026.
Please note, this is not an Accent course, we promote these on behalf of Back to Work. It is only open to residents living in the Greater Manchester and Chester areas.
Following completion of the course - Back to Work will book and fund candidates CSCS test and fund CSCS cards for each candidate that successfully passes their test.

The Good Things Foundation's Get Online Week focuses on helping people gain essential digital skills, access online services, and build confidence using technology.
We support the campaign and are planning a number of activities for the week. CSCS Course (Greater Manchester)
An information open day held at Central Buildings, Manchester on 20 May 2026 for a CSCS construction course starting week commencing 25 May, supporting unemployed residents to gain skills and funded certification.
Kirk House Resident Engagement Event
A resident engagement session held at Kirk House on 26 May 2026, where the Inclusion Team provided income maximisation support and introduced the Lightning Reach platform.
Downtown Breakfast Club
A community breakfast club held at Downtown Kitchen & Café, Burnley from 25–29 May 2026, offering free healthy breakfasts for children with a paying adult.
National Customer Group Event
A virtual event held on 19 May 2026 bringing together customers from across all regions to share feedback and insights.
Infant Mental Health Awareness Week took place on 8 June 2026 at Stamford Park Pavilion, Stamford Park, Stalybridge.
The event offered a range of sensory and craft activities for children aged 0 to 5 years and was delivered in partnership with Talking Therapies, Family Partnerships Home Start, and other organisations. This was not an Accent event.
Explore Your Future was held on 18 June 2026 at Tameside One, Ashton-under-Lyne. The event supported young people aged 16 to 24 who had recently finished school or college, or who were not in work or training. Attendees received advice from careers advisers, met support organisations, and discussed opportunities, including apprenticeships, with Tameside Council.
The Accent Independent Living Group met virtually on 3 June 2026. Participation was by invitation for customers who had previously registered an interest in working with Accent.
