Tailored Support Helps Customer Increase Universal Credit Payments

During a recent visit to one of our schemes, a customer spoke to our team about concerns with their Universal Credit payments. They were confused about deductions being made from their claim and worried they weren't receiving the correct amount of support.

To help resolve the issue, our team contacted Universal Credit with the customer present. Together, they reviewed the customer's circumstances, clarified the information held on their claim and ensured the correct details were recorded.

The support made a real difference.

Following a review of the claim, the customer received:

  • £278.40 in backdated Universal Credit payments
    An increase of £69.60 per month in ongoing payments
  • As well as the financial benefit, the customer felt reassured, better informed and more confident about managing their claim in the future.
