Ripleyville shortlisted for Yorkshire Property Award

Accent Housing and partner Esh Construction (one of the North of England’s largest and most trusted privately-owned construction businesses) have been shortlisted in the Residential Development of the Year (fewer than 100 homes) category at the Insider Yorkshire Property Awards 2026 for the Ripleyville regeneration in Bradford. The shortlist was announced by Insider Media this month.

The recognition celebrates the transformation of the former Ripleyville estate in Bradford. Ripleyville has been designed to meet the specific social, cultural and economic needs of south Bradford’s BD5 community. Replacing 162 outdated flats and two bungalows with 73 high-quality affordable rent homes, the scheme prioritises family living, multi-generational households, accessibility, and long-term stability over high-turnover bedsits.

Homes range from one to five bedrooms and include six large multi-generational properties, five wheelchair-adaptable homes and 26 M4(2) adaptable homes. Built to 100% of Nationally Described Space Standards and EPC A-rated, gas-free specification, the development improves safety, reduces fuel poverty and enables ageing in place, supporting independence and community wellbeing.

The winners will be announced at the Yorkshire Property Awards ceremony in September.

Congratulations and good luck to all this year’s finalists. Shortlist for the Insider Yorkshire Property Awards 2026 | Insider Media
