New chair for National Independent Living Group

We are pleased to announce that Chris Lynn has been appointed Chair of the National Independent Living Group.

Chris lives in Peterborough and has been an Accent customer for 10 years. He is a passionate advocate for customers and has consistently demonstrated his commitment to improving services and ensuring the voices of customers are heard. As Vice Chair of the group, he has played a key role in strengthening customer influence and championing issues that matter most to independent living customers.

Most recently, Chris worked alongside fellow customer representatives to secure £120,000 from the Social Housing Innovation Fund for a customer-led project designed to improve communication, digital inclusion and customer engagement across Independent Living schemes. This achievement reflects Chris's drive to make a tangible difference for customers and his belief that customers should be at the heart of shaping the services they receive.

We look forward to working with Chris as he leads the group into its next chapter, bringing energy, ambition and a clear focus on delivering positive outcomes for customers. We would also like to thank Lyn Nelson for her dedication and contribution as Chair.
