Helping customers, homes and communities: our ESG Report 2025/26
A warm, safe and affordable home can make a real difference to everyday life. Our latest Environmental, Social and Governance Report explains what we have done over the past year to improve our homes, support customers and run Accent responsibly.
One of our priorities is making homes more energy efficient, which can help customers feel more comfortable at home and manage their energy use. During 2025/26:
  • 87.1% of our existing homes achieved an Energy Performance Certificate rating of C or above.
  • 89.9% of our new homes were built to the highly energy-efficient EPC A standard.
  • 84 homes received retrofit improvements.
We also continued to put our Sustainability Strategy into action, helping us make our homes more efficient and respond to the pressures customers face from energy costs.

Practical support when it matters
Our teams work directly with customers to help them access the financial support they are entitled to. Through one-to-one support during the year, customers gained a total of £337,006 through increased benefit entitlement and reduced debt.
Our partnership with Lightning Reach also helped customers find grants, financial assistance and other support services. This work generated £497,658 in social value, showing the difference that practical, targeted support can make.

Listening to customers
Customer satisfaction among our low-cost rental customers increased by 4.5% during the year.
We also continued to create more opportunities for customers to share their experiences, influence decisions and help shape how our services develop. This included work through our customer engagement framework and governance arrangements.
Our ESG Report follows the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing. Publishing it is part of our commitment to being open about where we are making progress, as well as where there is more work to do.
