Accent delivers 45 new affordable homes in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire

Accent Housing is delivering 45 new affordable homes in Long Sutton, helping to provide more housing choices for individuals and families in South Lincolnshire.

The £8.26 million development on Seagate Road will offer 31 homes for affordable rent and 14 for shared ownership. Completion of this development took place in mid-October.

The new development includes a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties designed to meet the needs of different households. It also features bungalows and one-bedroom cluster homes, each with its own private garden.

All 45 homes have achieved an EPC A energy-efficiency rating and include photovoltaic solar panels to generate renewable electricity. The properties have been constructed using precision-engineered timber frames, which support efficient delivery, strong insulation and consistent build quality while helping to reduce construction waste and embodied carbon.

Azhar Ahmed, Assistant Development Director at Accent, said: “We’re proud to be providing 45 high-quality, affordable homes in Long Sutton, giving more people, especially families, the opportunity to put down roots in this well-connected community.

“The development offers a varied mix of homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, helping us meet the needs of a wide range of households. Its strong energy-efficiency credentials will also help residents benefit from homes designed to perform well over the long term.”

The scheme forms part of the wider Brunswick Fields development and is supported by grant funding from Homes England through the Affordable Homes Programme 2021–26.

The homes have been constructed by D Brown (Building Contractors) Ltd, with TSA Riley providing employer’s agent and clerk of works services. Work began on site in October 2024.

Mark Jones, Director of Development & Partnerships at D Brown Building Contractors, said: “It’s been a pleasure working in partnership with Accent Housing, SHDC and TSA Riley on this scheme, providing an over delivery of high quality and energy efficient affordable homes into the community. This is one of many examples of how D. Brown can assist to deliver new homes, utilising Homes England funding.”
