February 2020

You said: Residents had experienced problems with litter and fly-tipping.

We did: We held a community clean-up day. Staff, residents and our colleagues from Esh were busy tidying the area up, removing van loads of rubbish and massively improving the appearance of the estate.

August 2021

You said: Residents reported problems with fly-tipping and pests in the 22 communal beds.

We did: We have so far renovated 11 of the communal beds and work has begun on another two. This will not only improve the look and feel of the estate, but encourage residents to take pride in their neighbourhood and prevent the issues previously seen.

August 2021

You said: Some residents were struggling to maintain their outdoor spaces and the estate was beginning to look unkempt.

We did: We partnered with a community-based project known as Cultivate for Life. The group helps local people, including residents on this estate, to maintain their outdoor spaces for a small donation. The local Customer Partner spent a day working on-site with the group to help maintain not only residents' outdoor spaces, but also the grounds at the local church and the nearby allotments.

September 2021

You said: Residents reported problems with fly-tipping and litter.

We did: We arranged a community litter-pick day to tackle the problems with litter. We engaged with the local councillor, who kindly funded the event, and invited students from the local college to take part, affording them an opportunity to gain some 'hands on' experience working in the community. The local police were on hand to address any concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour. There have since been fewer problems with fly-tipping and the estate is looking much tidier.
