Rob is a qualified accountant and has spent 27 years in the profession in a variety of practice areas.
He has a wealth of experience, progressing from audit assistant, to audit senior and audit partner. He has been a partner in a ‘Big 4’ firm for 14 years.
Rob retired in 2013 to work on a more part-time and short term basis.
Rob has led external audit assignments for public and private companies including the co-ordination of internal and external audit services, tax advisers, actuaries and overseas audit firms. Rob has also directed a global audit approach roll-out for a prominent client in Leeds, establishing monitoring procedures and follow up support to achieve compliance.
Rob has led numerous financial due diligence acquisitions for national and international private equity and public and private companies. In what is a highly regulated environment, he has acted as the reporting accountant for fully listed and AIM listed companies.
Despite semi-retirement, Rob has maintained his own development in ethics, independence, anti-money laundering, technical accounting and respect/inclusion.
Outside the sector, Rob is a school governor, a director and a trustee of a co-operative trust, and the treasurer of a local tennis club.
