Meet Zainab Ibrahim, our Board Trainee
Zainab is a Board Trainee at Accent Housing, having been appointed in February 2026 through the organisation’s Board and Committee Trainee programme delivered in partnership with the Housing Diversity Network. She is developing her experience of governance, strategic oversight and board decision‑making through active participation in Board and Committee activities.
Alongside her trainee role, Zainab is Temporary Accommodation and Procurement Manager at the Royal Borough of Greenwich, where she leads services supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. She brings extensive experience in housing services, having held a range of roles focused on homelessness prevention, housing support and domestic abuse response , alongside a strong understanding of housing legislation and service delivery. Zainab is also trained independent domestic violence advocate.
Zainab also brings governance and community insight through her experience as a trustee and panel member, contributing to strategic direction, funding decisions and policy development. She is passionate about improving access to safe, affordable housing and supporting vulnerable communities, and provides a valuable perspective to support inclusive, customer‑focused governance.
