Orchard Walk is a 100 new homes scheme that will offer Social Rent, Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership tenures, with 16 as Social Rent, 50 Affordable Rent and 34 Shared Ownership.
Accent are partnering with Seagate homes to deliver this extensive scheme which will offer a large amount of affordable housing with associated parking, landscaping, and public open spaces as well as new access off of Sandy Lane to ensure a good flow of traffic.
Orchard Walk is situated on the eastern outskirts of Wisbech within the Walsoken parish. The scheme benefits from excellent connectivity, being located close to the A47, which links to the A1 and Peterborough.
Bus services are available close by that link with the bus station in Wisbech where connections to Peterborough and Lings Lynn are available. Local amenities are available nearby including schools, retail and commercial enterprises, a medical centre, sports facilities, cafes, restaurants, and park areas.
Schools and Education facilities in the area include, amongst others: Thomas Clarkson Academy, (Ofsted Good), Meadowgate Specialist Academy, (Ofsted Outstanding), Ramnoth Junior School, (Ofsted Good) and the College of West Anglia.
These homes are expected to be completed in early to mid-2028 and are part-funded by Homes England from the Affordable Homes Programme 2021-26.
