Social Tenant Access to Information scheme | Accent

The Social Tenant Access Information scheme gives all tenants in the UK the legal right to request more information on how their housing association manages their services. You can also ask others to support or represent you in holding us to account, including councillors, MPs, solicitors, advocates, or local journalists. You can also ask for information about our sub-contractors.

We’re committed to being as open, honest and transparent as possible with all our customers. This means we’ll consider your requests carefully, and will always be keen to share whatever information we can.

STAIRs will be introduced in two phases:

Proactive Publication (from October 2026):
Social landlords will be required to proactively publish key information about how they manage their homes. This will include details on relevant policies, plans, and actions related to the management of social housing.

Access on Request (from April 2027):
Tenants will gain the right to request specific information from their landlord about the management of their homes. This may include data on repairs, service charges, and tenant satisfaction
