Guest Apartment Refurbished at Cranmore Court

Working alongside R. Benson Property Maintenance Ltd, Accent has refurbished the guest apartment at Cranmore Court in Surrey.

The new guest apartment is warm, modern, and easy to use. It gives customers’ family and friends a comfortable place to stay nearby. The work was carried out at as part of R. Benson’s promise to give back to the community, meaning there was no cost to Accent. Customers, the Housing Partner, and the Accent team all helped shape the design to make sure it meets people’s needs.

The Main improvements include:

  • Changing the old wet room into a second bedroom

  • Adding a modern, accessible wet room and a new kitchenette

  • Fresh carpets, updated lighting, and furniture from IKEA for Business

  • A full electrical rewire for safety

  • Energy-saving features to cut costs and help the environment

Paul Hills, Specialist Housing Partner for Accent’s Cranmore Court, said:

“Customers have said how great the guest room is for family and friends to have a nice place to stay when they visit. Several customers are already trying to book it. Huge thank you to R. Bensons!”

Before the work, the apartment was old, worn out, and not welcoming for visitors. Now, it gives customers a much better way to host their loved ones.

The project also shows Accent Housing and R. Benson’s shared aim to create more than just buildings. They want to build safe, sustainable, and people-focused spaces that bring long-term benefits to the community.

Marcus Neal, Director at R. Benson Property Maintenance Ltd, said:

“At R. Benson, we’re committed to making a real difference to the communities we work with. This project at Cranmore Court is a great example of how social value commitments can create meaningful change, and we’re proud to have delivered a space that residents can be proud of.”

This project proves that real community change happens when strong partnerships work together.
