Accent Housing Rises in UK’s Top 50 Builders List for 2025

Accent Housing has climbed four places in the 2025 top 50 housing associations building the most homes in the UK, announced today by Inside Housing - Inside Housing - Insight - Top 50 Biggest Builders 2025.

Accent became a Strategic Partner for Homes England in 2021 and is committed to delivering just over 2,800 homes by March 2026. The Housing Association first entered the national league table – known as Britain’s Biggest Builders - in 2024 and has moved up from 42 to 38.

The achievement reflects Accent’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of its housing stock as well as meeting its obligations as a Strategic Partner to Homes England. Accent is committed to delivering all land-led schemes to a rating of EPC A, as well as the regeneration of older housing stock which will see a flagship scheme of 72 homes at Ripleyville in Bradford, handing over later this year.

Steve Morris, Interim Executive Director of Development and Sales at Accent Housing, said, “I am delighted that we have featured in the Top 50 list for the second consecutive year, having taken handover of 458 homes in 2024/25. It’s a small jump in place; however, this does represent our growth and the work we are doing in helping towards the national housing crisis. Accent has a healthy pipeline of schemes, and we expect to deliver a greater number of high-quality homes for our customers by the end of this financial year.”

Inside Housing’s Top 50 Biggest Builders 2025 list comes just weeks after the Labour Government’s Spending Review announcing an extra £39bn for the Affordable Homes Programme across the next 10 years, a 10-year rent settlement and equal access to remediation funding.
