25 Affordable, Sustainable Homes Completed in Willingham

Accent Housing has completed 25 high-quality affordable homes at Belsar Grange in Willingham. The development has been designed to meet local housing needs and enhance community life in the South Cambridgeshire village.

The new development includes 13 homes for affordable rent and 12 homes for shared ownership. The varied mix of properties will help address the national affordable housing crisis by providing much-needed homes in a rural location with excellent amenities.

All homes have been built to achieve an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘A’, ensuring high environmental sustainability and reduced running costs for residents.

Designed with a harmonious blend of rustic charm and modern architecture, the development offers generous green spaces, a thoughtful layout, and a warm welcome to a diverse new community.

Steve Morris, Interim Executive Director of Development and Sales at Accent said: “Belsar Grange is a perfect example of how we can combine quality, sustainability, and affordability to create thriving communities. We’re proud to deliver homes that will make a real difference to local people.”

Belsar Grange has been built in partnership with Burmor Construction and is part-funded by Homes England from the Affordable Homes Programme.

Cllr John Batchelor, Lead Cabinet Member for Housing for South Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “We are delighted to have supported Accent Housing to build these affordable homes in Willingham. Like many villages in South Cambridgeshire, Willingham faces challenges such as rising house prices and limited rental options making it difficult for young families and first-time buyers to access good quality and affordable housing. We will continue to work alongside our partners to ensure our residents can access affordable, high-quality homes.”
