We are proud to announce the successful completion of our latest development Orchard View in Bluntisham, delivering 26 high-quality, energy-efficient homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.
The development, supported by Huntingdonshire District Council and with grant funding from Homes England, brings much-needed affordable housing to the heart of Huntingdonshire.
The new community includes 7 homes for affordable rent (5 one-bedroom, 2 two-bedroom) and 19 shared ownership homes (9 two-bedroom, 10 three-bedroom).
All homes have been allocated or sold to people with a local connection, ensuring that the Bluntisham community benefits directly from the development.
Built with a fabric first approach, every property has achieved an EPC rating of B or higher, with 9 homes exceeding expectations and securing the top A rating. Solar panels have been installed on every roof, reducing energy bills for residents and helping tackle fuel poverty. All homes also come with EV charging points, future-proofing them for sustainable living.
The scheme incorporates significant green space, new trees, and a children’s play area, all designed for community use. 2 one-bedroom bungalows and 2 two-bedroom bungalows with wet rooms ensure the homes are accessible to a wide range of residents, including older people and those with reduced mobility.
Accent Housing partnered with Minster Property Group and Seagate Homes to bring forward the high-quality design and delivery of the Orchard View development, working closely with Huntingdonshire District Council and Bluntisham Parish Council to ensure the homes meet local housing need.
