SARAH IRELAND
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY & GROWTH
Sarah Ireland is a transformational and highly experienced leader with significant experience in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors.
With a sound grounding obtained through her BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying, Sarah's career trajectory has seen her transition from senior land management roles at Taylor Wimpey to executive positions, notably as Executive Director at bpha, where she also served as a trustee for the Oxford and Gloucestershire Care Partnerships.
Sarah joined Accent in 2018 and currently works as Executive Director of Strategy and Growth. During Sarah’s tenure, she has spearheaded transformative projects to aid in the significant growth of Accent, including being part of the project team which secured a record-breaking £350 million bond deal and achieving Homes England Strategic Partnership status in 2021.
Under Sarah’s leadership, Accent's approach to delivering new homes underwent a significant evolution, with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental standards. With over 1,000 new homes currently under construction, 80% of which adhere to higher environmental standards, Accent’s development programme continues to thrive. In addition, Sarah resumed responsibility over a greater, corporate remit in January 2023 and now leads Accent’s corporate strategic development and delivery and is committed to driving organisational excellence for customers.
