Video Call Repair Support Now Available for Accent Customers

We’re always looking for ways to help our customers get repairs resolved as quickly and smoothly as possible. A key part of this is making sure we diagnose issues properly from the very start.

To support this, Accent has invested in a new tool that makes reporting repairs even easier.

Introducing GRYPP - our new video call repair service

GRYPP is a simple video call tool that allows our team to see the issue in real time. This means we can often guide you through quick fixes whilst we’re chatting, such as re-pressurising your boiler, helping you get things back up and running straight away. This can be especially helpful during the colder winter months.

GRYPP also helps us understand more complex issues, such as leaks or damp and mould, so we can send the right support with the correct level of urgency.

How it works

Using our new video call service is quick, easy and secure: 

  1. You can ask to use the video call tool, or our advisors may offer it to you. 

  1. We’ll send you a link by text or email. 

  1. Open the link, then simply accept the permission request by tapping the green tick. 

  1. Our team will start the video call using your phone’s back camera. 

  1. Point your camera at the repair issue so our team can see what’s happening. 

  1. They’ll take notes or photos, which will be securely saved to your account, and then will raise any repairs, if needed.

  • More accurate diagnosis: We can see the problem clearly and decide the right response right there and then. 

  • Better first-time fixes: The more we know upfront, the more likely we can resolve the issue on the first visit.
