Planned Maintenance Programme 2021-22

We are really pleased to let you know that we are planning to carry out work on your heating system in the coming financial year, (1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022).

In our earlier communication to you we have already told you which contractor will be carrying out this work in your home. They will be in touch in the next few months to introduce themselves, talk about what they will do and let you know when and how long they will be in your home. Please understand that appointments may have to change, but we will always tell you if they do. 

Our leaflet, 'Your home is soon to have… a gas central heating system upgrade' provides important information to help the work in your home run smoothly, together with details of the work we will be doing and how it will affect you.

If your heating system has recently been replaced, we will not be replacing it again. However, we will contact you and talk to you about it.

A liaison officer from the contractor doing the work will visit you before work starts to make sure you understand what is involved and to give you a start dateThe liaison officer will contact you directly, either by phone or letter, to arrange a suitable appointment. They will be your main contact whilst the work is being done, and will deal with any queries or issues you may have.

The safety of you, your household and our contractors is our top priority, and all our contractors will wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment). If they are not wearing appropriate PPE when they visit, or you feel at risk in any other way, please let us know straight away. We will never risk your safety and neither should our contractors.

When our contractors are in your home, or on your estate, please respect social distancing and don’t approach them. If you have any questions or concerns with the work they are doing, please get in touch.

Before any work can start, we may need to carry out an asbestos survey in your home to check if there is any asbestos present. We need to check there is no hidden asbestos which could be disturbed when work is being carried out. There is no need to worry about this. If a survey is needed, it will be carried out by our specialist contractor, Environtec, who will contact you directly, either by phone or letter, to make an appointment to do the survey. Not every home will need a survey, so there is no need to worry if you are not contacted.

This asbestos survey will cover all the inside of your home, but will focus on the main areas in which work will be done.  We will repair any damage that may be caused when the work is finished.
