Meet Mick Alston (Chair)

Lancashire resident Mick originally got involved at a local level in his home town of Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley. He wanted to learn more about how Accent worked and did things, and what issues residents had and what could be done to address them.

Wanting to do more at a regional level, Mick joined the former customer services committee, and then became a member of the co-design group, which looked at how residents could get more involved across Accent.  Being a member of the co-design group was interesting to Mick and he could begin to see how Accent’s vision – With you for the Journey – was coming to fruition, but that it was residents who would have a huge part to play in making that happen.

Mick is positive that all the members of the scrutiny group can make a difference to residents everywhere.
