Attending An Accent Interview

We've tried to provide you with all the information you'll need for your interview, but if we've missed anything hopefully you'll find it in the section below.

Attending an interview and not sure our offices are?
See the How to find us section at the bottom of this page for more details…

You can apply for all our roles on our careers website. Simply click on the apply button, complete the application and submit any supporting documents. Once you have submitted your application, you will get an email acknowledging your application. We will try to get back in touch with you as quickly as possible.

We want everyone to have the best chance of success during their interview, and therefore will do our best to make sure you feel as comfortable and supported throughout the process. There is a section on the application form for you to specify if you require any reasonable adjustments or have access needs. A member from our People Team will be in touch to discuss these further if necessary. Please get in touch with us if you need to discuss these in advance 01274 065 714.

The interview process changes dependent on the role. The process could involve an initial telephone interview or attending an assessment centre. It could be that you attend a few rounds of face-to-face interviews and, possibly, some other methods to ensure you know as much about us as we do about you. Our Resourcing Advisor will keep you fully informed of your interview process.

Our interviewers will ask questions that require you to demonstrate that you have a particular skill or a core competency that they are looking for. This can be achieved by providing us with situational examples from your work / life experiences, to illustrate your personality, skill set and individual competencies to the interviewer.

Prior to attending your interview read as much as you can about Accent. We want you to be sure that we are the right fit for you! Also, look at the job description for the role you have applied for and have thought about how you can demonstrate you have the skills to be successful in it.

At any point throughout the process you may be asked to provide right to work documents in line with government guidelines. Additionally, we understand that you may change your mind regarding the role or that things can come up – we embrace flexibility. If you cannot attend your interview, please ensure you inform our Resourcing Advisor on 01274 065 714 within 24 hours prior to your interview date.

We will provide you with interview feedback whether you are successful or not. The feedback will come from the hiring managers; we will tell you at your interview when to expect feedback.

At Accent we love everyone’s individuality, and therefore encourage you to be your authentic self with what you wear to work. That being said, we are still a professional workplace and expect our colleagues to look presentable – so for the interview leave the ripped jeans and sauce stained t-shirt in the wardrobe!

We know that life looks different for everyone, and whilst we require a full 3 year history before you can join us, we don’t want this to put you off applying for your dream job! So whether that is you took time off to start a family, or perhaps went back to school, let us know what you were up to during these times. After all, at Accent we know that our life experiences help shape us into the people we are today.

Yes. As a new starter you will have a Probationary Period of 6 months.

Please let us know at interview about your holiday plans. For some roles, your induction training course is so important and so we ask you not to take any holidays throughout this period.

We will guarantee to honour any holidays that you have already booked as long as they are at least two weeks after any planned training has finished.
