Who Is Sheltered Accommodation For?
Sheltered accommodation is also known as sheltered living, independent living, sheltered housing or sheltered accommodation. These independent living schemes feature a series of flats that have been purpose-built for individuals and couples aged 55+.
They are ideal for people aged 55+ who are looking to downsize and are perfect for seniors that may require extra assistance, companionship, additional security and peace of mind.
The self-contained flats within these independent living schemes usually benefit from a number of shared facilities, including well-maintained gardens and communal lounges.
They also feature safety features, such as an emergency pull cord and are designed for easy living, with lifts to upper floors and level access showers.
