Some great news on our safety checks!
- All of our homes which have a gas supply have an up to date safety certificate.
- In all our homes where we need to test water hygiene, we are also 100% up to date.
- We are also reporting 100% in our asbestos, carbon monoxide and smoke alarm tests – and our fire panel testing.
We have eight electrical tests overdue, (out of over 18,000 homes) but we have already made appointments to carry them out.
These results are great – but making sure we absolutely nail them is essential, as your safety isn’t up for debate!
We have an absolute zero tolerance to anything which could put your safety at risk and we aim to fully comply with all our responsibilities at all times. Occasionally, there might be reasons why we can’t reach 100%, like getting access to your homes, or because of other difficulties for instance, but we will always work flat out to make sure we carry out those inspections and checks as soon as we can.
Our compliance management teams are on the ball doing weekly checks to make sure we are keeping you and your home safe, but you can help us to keep it that way too. When we contact you to let you know your home is due a safety check, whether it’s for gas, electric or anything else, please make sure you keep your appointment and you let us in to carry it out.
