Pay By Link is a secure and simple new way for you to pay us by card.
It doesn’t replace your MyAccount or the Allpay payment line, it simply allows you to make a payment without us having to hand you over to a payment line.
How Does it Work?
If you want to pay us by card, we will send you a unique digital link via SMS to your mobile device. You can then use that link to pay us securely and safely by card.
The link contains your unique rent account reference number, so you won’t have to enter your 19-digit reference number, just your card number. It’s unique to you and your account, so it can’t be shared with anyone else, and it will stay live for you to use in the future.
Your message containing the link is personal to you and will show your name. If you are not sure that it is genuine, please get in touch so we can check it is from us and reassure you. Always be careful with links and check if you are in doubt. Once you click, you’ll open up the internet on your mobile device and go straight to Allpay. Follow the instructions and you are done. Although you won’t automatically get a receipt for your payment, we can give you an authorisation number or send you a receipt on request. You can also use your banking app to check to see if the payment has gone through and use that as proof of payment if there are any issues.
On your MyAccount, the payment will normally show on the next working day. If you want to check a payment has gone through as soon as you’ve made it, please get in touch as we should be able to check that for you.
If you do not have the internet on your device, you won’t be able to use pay by link as our staff are not allowed to handle your payment details and make the transaction for you in line with payment card industry (PCI) regulations.
