From 1 January 2022, Ian Williams will become our main repairs and maintenance contractor in the East. The new contract will allow us to focus on delivering a high standard of quality and service.
Ian Williams are already working with us in Yorkshire and the North-West. They are very keen to deliver our service in the East region and we are looking forward to working with them.
What does this change mean for you?
Although we are working hard to provide a continuous service, we have made some temporary changes:
- Non-emergency repairs: On 14 December, we temporarily paused non-emergency repair appointments. You can still report a non-emergency repair, but we won’t make an appointment for it to be done until Ian Williams have taken over (after 1 January) and the most urgent repairs will be done as a priority. There will be no interruption to any emergency repairs.
- Outstanding Repairs: In any cases where repairs are outstanding and can't be carried out before the present contract ends, we will work with Ian Williams to get them done as soon as possible after they take over.
With the new contract can focus on improving the service where we need to, and we feel confident working with Ian Williams will enable us to do that.
