Dear Santa...

Dear Santa Campaign

Customer Experience Director Damian Roche and his team in our Peterborough office have supported a charity's Dear Santa campaign with a £500 donation.

The charity, Embrace Child Victims of Crime (Embrace CVOC), works to try and make Christmas magical for children who have suffered terrible trauma through serious crime.

Talking about the donation, Damian said: "When we heard about the Dear Santa appeal 2020, we wanted to get involved and help vulnerable children in Peterborough and across the country. This year has been a difficult year for everyone, and one of our guiding principles is caring for others. Supporting this worthwhile appeal is one way we can make a real difference to children’s lives this Christmas."

Every child who is referred to the Dear Santa campaign chooses a gift they would like to get from Santa. Gifts are available to buy through Embrace’s website and, once bought, Santa’s elves wrap the gift and make sure the child who wished for it gets it for Christmas.

Embrace CVOC is the only organisation in the UK that solely supports child victims of crime. Children referred by support agencies, and other sources such as the police, will have often have dealt with unimaginable trauma from issues such as abuse, neglect and unlawful death of parents or siblings.

Anne Campbell, chief executive of Embrace Child Victims of Crime (Embrace CVOC) said: “We are really grateful to Accent for their amazing support. It will make sure some of the most vulnerable children have a reason to smile and believe in Santa this year.”
