It lasted 4 weeks, took in 18 different estates and covered 1500 miles!
The tour started on Monday 2 July in Ashford, Kent, and finished on Thursday 26 July in Middlesbrough. To promote the tour, we sent almost 5000 emails and over 7000 SMS messages!
Over those 4 weeks, we did some long days, but they were all great - we made 39 different stops in total, and got to speak to 100's of you in the process. Thanks to everyone we met for your honesty and hospitality – and for taking the time to stop and talk to us.
All the events were slightly different, but our repairs and maintenance operatives were on site at nearly every one. They were busy fixing fences, delivering skips for clearing rubbish and bulky items, and pretty much doing whatever small jobs you asked them to do while they were out with us.
On some days, we also had some great educational and fun activities for kids, which included learning some early skills for a career in construction and some fun face painting – as well as balloons, pens and lots of sweet stuff – including 136 ice creams! We were joined by local PCSOs and the Fire Service, who gave out advice and information. The great weather stayed with us for every step of the way – except for a few drizzly days in Lancashire, but they didn’t spoil anyone’s enthusiasm or affect the turn-out!

Our aim was to get out and meet as many of you as possible, promoting MyAccount, updating your details (so we can be sure we are providing you with the best possible service), and listening to any concerns you may have had. We know we didn't get to speak to everyone, but you can still help shape our services and give feedback by joining the Accent 500 - a community of involved residents who regularly complete surveys and give their opinions on our services. It's a great way of letting us know how we're doing – from the comfort of your own home.
