Set in a sought-after location, with good road and bus connections, local facilities, and easy access to all the services of both Bedford and Hitchin, this promises to be a successful development for Accent Housing.
Lower Stondon is situated in a group of linked villages, located between the towns of Bedford and Hitchin. The village has a population of approximately 2,300 people. The closest main road is the A600, which runs past the village to the east, linking it to Bedford and Hitchin. There is a regular bus service to Hitchin and Bedford. The village is served by a number of local amenities including a village store, pharmacy, doctors, church, public house, lower school, and a post office.
The scheme will be developed by Snowdon Homes in partnership with the Parish Council.
The EPC Rating will be B.
The site contains a variety of two, three and four bedroom homes with a mixture of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses. All have ample gardens and parking. The scheme is predominantly aimed at families. The shared ownership homes will appeal to local families who may be priced out of the local market due to high house prices.
This is the first new development undertaken in the Central Bedfordshire district for Accent. The homes are geographically close to existing stock in neighbouring Bedford Borough.
