Two New Executive Directors Appointed

Exciting News For Accent Housing!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kirsty Spark as our new executive director of finance & ICT and Julie Wittich to the newly created role of executive director of assets & sustainability.

Kirsty, our current group financial controller, is a member of our senior management team. She will replace David Royston, executive director of finance and ICT, who announced his retirement in March of this year after 15 years with Accent.

Julie Wittich moves to Accent from Watford Community Housing where she holds the role of interim group director of operations. Prior to that, Julie was executive director of assets  for bpha.

Both roles will be instrumental in driving forward the ambitions of our new corporate strategy and will provide additional leadership focussed on fulfilling future asset and sustainability priorities.

Commenting on the recruitment, Chief Executive Paul Dolan said: “We are delighted to have appointed Kirsty and Julie to these roles following a significant recruitment process which attracted an incredibly high calibre of candidates."

"Kirsty has played a pivotal role at Accent in the three years she’s been here and was instrumental in us raising our first £350m record-breaking bond issuance in 2019. I know Kirsty’s skills and experience will enable us to continue delivering seamlessly for our customers in a turbulent operating environment."

"Over the past three years we have overhauled our development ambitions, transitioning to a significant land-led programme as we work to make our mark on addressing the housing crisis. In parallel to this, we are equally committed to ensuring our existing homes are the quality our customers should expect, sustainable for the future and deliver best value for the residents who live in them."

"Julie’s high-performing background and her substantial track record in delivering against these objectives will be an incredible asset to Accent."

"Beyond Kirsty’s and Julie’s specialist and technical expertise they possess a passion for the difference social housing can make to people’s lives, along with strong values and a desire to drive improvement throughout the business.”

Kirsty and Julie will begin in their new roles in January 2022.
