How do I register?

How Do I Register For A Housing Association House?

Before you can secure a housing association house, you must register with a housing association in your area. At Accent Housing, we have homes available across the country.

There are two main ways you can register with Accent Housing; via Let’s Move (our new online application system) or through your local council’s choice based lettings scheme.

Securing A Housing Association House With Choice Based Lettings

These are schemes managed by local councils which Accent Housing signs up to. Most of our homes in the South and the East are let to our tenants through choice-based lettings schemes.

If you are looking for a housing association house in or around Northamptonshire, Peterborough, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire or Surrey Heath, you will need to apply directly to each local council’s CBL scheme.

Registering for homes on choice-based letting schemes are all different. The first thing you will need to do is find out which scheme runs in the area you want to live in, and there might be more than one. If there is, you will need to register on each one. You will have check for updates at different times as homes that are suitable for you won’t all be advertised at the same time.

Let’s Move

Many of our homes in the North, across Yorkshire, Lancashire and Teesside, can be applied for directly through Let’s Move.

Registering on Let’s Move is really easy. To create an account, all you need to give us are a few personal details, including your name, date of birth, email address and a password.

We’ll send an email to the address you give us so you can verify your account and you’re all set! You can login and view our homes to rent, create alerts so you find out what homes are available and complete your application online.

Registering on Let’s Move has lots of benefits. You can create property alerts for the homes you are interested in, apply for a new home and track your application. And, if you move into a housing association house through Accent, your account automatically changes to ‘MyAccount’ (your online tenancy account).

If you've registered for Let's Move, but you're struggling to access your account we've created a Frequently Asked Questions section on our site.
