We are really pleased to let you know that we are planning to fit a new kitchen in your home in the next couple of months.
In our earlier communication to you we have already told you which contractor will be carrying out this work in your home. They will be in touch in the new four weeks to say hello, explain what the work involves, what colours and choices you have, and let you know when and how long they will be in your home. Please understand that appointments may have to change from time to time, but we will always let you know if they do.
Our leaflet, 'Your home is soon to have… a new kitchen fitted' contains information about the work and advice on how you can help make sure it all goes smoothly.
If your kitchen has already recently been replaced, we won’t be fitting a new one, but we will talk with you about it.
A liaison officer from the contractor doing the work will visit you to make sure you understand what the work involves and to agree a start date with you. This officer will contact you directly, either by phone or letter, to arrange a suitable appointment. The liaison officer will be your main contact while the work is being done and will help you with any questions or issues you may have.
The safety of you and your family, and our contractors, is our top priority. Our contractors should always wear the correct PPE, (personal protective equipment) but, if you feel they are not, or you feel at risk in any other way, please let us know straight away. We will never risk your safety, and neither should our contractors.
If, whilst the contractors are in your home, you have any questions or concerns with the work they are doing, please get in touch with us. You can ring us on 0345 678 0555 or email us at plannedimprovements@accentgroup.org.
Before work can start, we may need to carry out an asbestos survey in your home to check if any asbestos is present. We need to check there is no hidden asbestos which could be disturbed when work is being done. There is no need to worry about this. If a survey is needed, it will be done by our specialist contractor, Environtec, who will contact you directly to make an appointment to carry it out. The survey will cover the inside of your home but will focus mainly where the work is being done. If any damage is caused, we will repair it when the work is finished. Not every home will need a survey, so there is no need to worry if Environtec don’t get in touch.
If you have any questions, or would like more information, please get in touch.
