"This is something I can do to make a difference.”
Bradford resident Stuart is a fibre-optic engineer for Openreach a BT group company. He used to have his own business in drainage, contracted to Yorkshire Water.
Stuart is really passionate about the work he does and is currently building the infrastructure in Leeds one of the first 8 cities across the UK to get FTTP (fibre to the premises) capable of ultra fast speeds which will change the services available through customer providers such as Sky, Talk Talk, BT, and many many more using the Openreach network. This will be a big improvement in telecommunications service for the whole of the UK.
Stuart applied to join the scrutiny panel because he wanted to make a difference, and the role was something he felt he could really get involved with to help people from all walks of life.
