“I want to be a voice for all Accent residents.”

Scarborough resident Lynda was a member of the former customer services committee for the north east region. She has been representing the interests of Accent residents for some time and has been a resident herself since 1993.

Lynda works for Beyond Housing, who manage around 15,000 homes across the Yorkshire east coast area. She joined the scrutiny panel for a number of reasons and hopes that, as a resident, she understands some of the issues residents have and can be a voice for them, which will help to improve their services. 

Being so long with Accent means Lynda has seen many things change, from services being local, to central, to being local again. Lynda feels she can use the skills she has gained from that experience to help all residents through changes when they happen and improve services for them.
