Bradford Fire

Fire crews now have the fire under control, but they have told us it will continue to burn for a couple more days as they put it out.

There are still some local roads closed, but some have now reopened.

The advice remains the same for now - keep windows and doors shut and avoid travelling in and out of the area.

There are still some train services affected from Bradford Interchange so please check before you travel. Even though some services are running, they are reduced and they are not making all their usual stops.

Our staff will continue to stay away from the area for now but our contractors will attend repairs.

Due to a large tyre fire in West Bowling, there are a number of restrictions in place this morning which are affecting Ripleyville and neighbouring areas.

At present, some roads are closed, trains in and out of Bradford Interchange have been stopped and people are being asked not to travel in or out of the area. Firefighters are still at the scene trying to get the blaze under control.

Local residents have been asked to stay indoors and keep their windows closed.

If you are worried about how this could affect you, for whatever personal or money reasons, please contact us. We will support you through whatever the next few days bring.

If you are worried because you have a repair booked, please get in touch. We will be able to let you know whether the repair can go ahead, or if we will need to rearrange it for you.

Please follow the advice from the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and the police to stay in your homes and keep your doors and windows closed.

For updates as they happen please check the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service website and the Bradford Telegraph and Argus and we will keep you updated on here and our Facebook page.

Stay safe and please get in touch if you need us, or you are worried about anything.
