Renting a home

Our homes in the north east are managed by seven local neighbourhood teams. When you apply to rent a home with us, the team that looks after your application will depend on the area where you want to live.

If you do not mind where you live, or you do not know which team looks after your area, please contact the team that is nearest to where you live now. One of our customer service advisors will be pleased to re-direct you to the team you need. They are there to help you, so please ask any questions you have.

Your application form

This is our downloadable housing application form.

Before you use the form, please speak to one of our neighbourhood teams. The area you want may be closed to applications, or it might be managed by a choice based lettings scheme. Please visit our main Your home finder - North East page for more information on choice based lettings schemes.

This application form is a PDF Portfolio and you will need Adobe Reader 9 to be able to use the form. You can download the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe website for free.

There are a number of ways you can complete an application form:

Choice 1

Save the application form on your computer, fill it in using your computer and email it to the neighbourhood team which will be handling your application. We will need your signature on your form. If you send it back to us by email, we will ask you to sign it later.

Choice 2

Download the form, print it out, fill it in, sign and date it, and post it to the neighbourhood team which will be handling your application.

Choice 3

Ask the neighbourhood team to post a hard copy of the application form and information to you. You can then complete the form by hand, sign and date it, and return it in the envelope which will be provided. If you would like us to post a form to you, please contact the neighbourhood team looking after the area where you want to live, or where you live now, and ask for one.

Easington

Hartlepool and Bishop Auckland

The teams looking after properties in the Tees Valley are based in the Middlebrough office, while the neighbourhood teams for Hartlepool, Durham, Sunderland and Tyne and Wear, are based in our office at Blackhall.
