We invited residents, staff and board members to take part in our survey to help us determine our strategic direction and our plans for the coming years. The survey was complemented by two focus groups which a number of residents took part in. The findings were as follows:


  • Both staff and residents agreed that building more properties should be a priority for Accent, but residents were much more keen for us to develop in new areas where we do not currently have properties.

  • Staff and residents agreed that Accent should concentrate on its core purpose as a landlord; carrying out repairs effectively, collecting rent and letting properties to the right people. However, residents also felt that ‘improving properties’ and ‘improving communication’ should also be prioritised. 

  • Residents agreed that Accent should improve its online services and encourage residents who are not currently engaging with us online to do so; in order to promote a better customer experience and better value for money.
