Your neighbourhood and community
We want to make sure we are giving you, your family and your community the best possible service.
We work with other agencies and organisations to provide not only good quality housing, but services that help to keep your community safe, clean, thriving and somewhere you want to keep living in.
Visiting your neighbourhood
We regularly hold 'staff on site' days on all our schemes and estates. We invite you to join us on them, and help us identify any problems or areas that need improving. We'll let you know when our staff are due to visit. You can also check our events calendar to see what else is happening on your estate.
Getting involved
By getting involved, you can help to improve the services in your home and life in your community. We have lots of ways in which you can get involved and help make a difference, as little or as much as you choose. Please visit our get involved page for more information on how to get involved.
Community training
We can offer you and your family training courses and employment programmes that can help you develop more skills, get you into employment and change your life for the better. We offer courses that cover employment training, work based learning and job support. Please visit our community training page for more information.
Anti-social behaviour
If the enjoyment of your home and community is put at risk by anti-social behaviour, we will work with you and other agencies, like the police, to stop it. We investigate all reports that are made, and consider all the practical and legal action we can take. If the threat involves harm, the threat of harm, or other harassment, we will act on it as soon as possible, certainly within 24 hours.
For more information on anti-social behaviour, please read our leaflet and policy statement for dealing with anti-social behaviour.
Hate behaviour
Hate behaviour can include hate incidents or hate crime when someone behaves towards a person because of a particular group they belong to or are thought to belong to. This includes incidents against people because of their race, faith, disability, age or sexual orientation.
For more information on hate behaviour, please read our leaflet or visit the True Vision website.
If your enjoyment of your home and community is being affected by anti-social behaviour or hate behaviour, please don’t suffer in silence - use our on-line form to report it to us.
Domestic violence
This includes threatening behaviour, violence and abuse that happens between family members or partners. We offer confidential help and advice to anyone who is affected, for more information, contact your neighbourhood team.
You can also find more information about domestic violence on the National Domestic Violence helpline website.
Helping our residents to live independently
Some of our residents’ needs may change and, to help keep them living safely and independently in their homes and the community they know, we can provide support and advice for adapting their home to suit their needs. We can also help them access services to help them manage their home and their tenancies.
Your community’s environment
We take our responsibility to the environment very seriously. We work closely with our community partners to provide grants from energy suppliers to improve the insulation of our homes, and reduce energy and fuel bills. Our saving energy and money leaflet has lots of hints and tips which could help you save energy and money in your home.
