A recent charity funday at Derek Horn Court, Camberley, has raised over £800 for a local charity.
The money was raised for Shooting Star Chase, a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
Support for the fund-raising came from Pizza Express, the Co-Op, Majestic Wines, Thorntons, Creams Café, Morrisons, Tony & Guy, BodynSoul, Waitrose, McDonalds, Lovely Cards, All Sorts Florist and Jayne Tranquil Therapies. All these local businesses donated a mix of produce and vouchers.
A raffle, guess the name of the bear and guess the size of the cake, with other activities throughout the day, eventually raised over £800.
Scheme Manager Mandie said: "I'm so proud of everyone who got involved and made this day possible. For such a worthy cause it is hard not to be pleased and proud of how much we've raised."
