We are very proud of our nationally acclaimed education projects, which offer personal training and employment programmes to disadvantaged people in our communities.

Women into Construction was our first highly successful training scheme for women aged 16 to 65.

The scheme, managed by Womenbuild West Yorkshire, worked with construction companies and colleges to help women train to become builders, decorators and joiners.

The 49 women we worked with each got the chance to improve their numeracy and literacy skills, and find out more about working in these industries. The project also gave them some hands-on experience through work tasters and placements.

Acent Womenbuild (round II), First Step Engagement and the Accent Residents Training Initiative.

We are currently offering training for Accent residents and non-residents in:

- IT;
- personal development;
- finance and business; and
- admin skills

in our specially adapted new business centre on Barkerend Road, Bradford 3.
