Biggest Development Allocation in History

Our biggest ever allocation

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded an allocation of over £65M in the 2008-11 National Affordable Housing Programme - our biggest ever.

Second biggest in the country

This allocation is the second largest of the over 100 allocations across the country. From a position a couple of years ago when we were not even developing, we are now an established major player.

This is a fantastic achievement and a huge vote of confidence in our ability to deliver a programme of this scale.

We have received such a large allocation due to the excellent performance of the development team over the last two years. We have consistently exceeded the quality and speed of delivery the Housing Corporation expect.

The team are extremely proud of their achievement and their efforts have led to an incredible result. The success is also shared by many others; the finance team, support teams and operational staff.

This presents us with the opportunity to start to realise our vision to support "the creation of vibrant and sustainable communities by being a catalyst that enables people to improve the quality of their lives." We won't do this in isolation, but by working in partnership with others. This achievement also demonstrates our ability to broker effective partnerships.

The allocation covers not only the Group but also the consortia that we lead: Accent Nene, Accent Peerless, Network, Northern Lights and Firebird. This highlights once again the important role we can play working in partnership with other organisations.
