Working with Bradford YouthBuild Trust, we helped to secure funding of £580,000 to re-develop Barkerend Road Training Centre. 

The centre now provides a range of numeracy, literacy, ICT and vocational training for 100 learners and trainees every day. The new resources have dramatically increased the number of learners able to benefit.

Building on the success of YouthBuild and our other development, training and employment programmes, we can now offer more under-represented groups a route into the construction industry and other vocational areas. 

We also plan to introduce managed workspace units on part of the training centre's site.

We have major plans for Barkerend Training Centre and what it will eventually become - the Accent Learning Centre. Its potential impact on Bradford's economic regeneration is huge.
