Community Dividend Reserve

The Community Dividend Reserve fund supports initatives and projects that ensure the sustainability of our estates, communities, neighbourhoods and residents.

The reserve is administered by our national Residents' Panel.

Our Community Dividend Reserve supports initatives and projects that ensure the sustainability of our estate, communities and neighbourhoods.

Our Residents' Panel is responsible for distributing the funds.

Although not extensive, this list establishes some of the boundaries for potential eligibility. Applications must:

- Support the coming together of local people in local communities.

- Create understanding and bring people from different backgrounds and cultures together.

- Build capacity for self-help, community involvement, community development or to influence local change.

- Create inclusion and improve prospects for local people.

- Build health and wellbeing through social support, occupational activities, health promotion and fitness.

- Improve quality of life through enhanced security, amenities and the environment.

Donations are considered on an application basis. Formally constituted groups or associations may apply directly, while iIndividuals or unconsituted groups should apply via their local office. Our officers may help or advise with applications.

Applications are considered individually.

Some recent awards include:

- £7,700 for the Disabled Scooter Shelter in Barrow-in-Furness

- £35,000 for Bradford WomenBuild Phase 2

- £10,000 for Moss Side Community Forum, Leyland, Lancashire

- £10,000 for Focus on Grangetown Youth, Teesside
